Holly Swain – Monster Colouring Poster
We’re just getting the last shelves cleared and rooms cleared for the opening of The Bird House Hove for Artist’s Open Houses 2015. All our artists will have new work on sale, and it’s really lovely seeing it all arrive and getting it ready to display.
Leigh Hodgkinson – Mummy Robot Necklace
We’ll be open from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 2nd May, and then every Saturday and Sunday at the same time until Sunday 24th May.
Chrissie Davies – Delilah – Embroidery
We’re part of the West Hove Arts Trail this year, so if you’re on the trail, we look forward to seeing you soon! And, of course, we will have free cake…
Helen Locke – Brooklands
Sarah Cahill – Paper Collage
After a very successful 2014, we’re opening The Bird House Hove again for this year’s Artists’ Open Houses. We’re very pleased to announce that this year we’ve joined forces with the West Hove Arts Trail, so we’re looking forward to sharing tips and advice with the other brilliant Open Houses on the trail.
We’re also pleased to announce a new artist in The Bird House! Sara Cahill is a hugely talented artist working in mixed media – you can see one of her beautiful paper collages on canvas above. So come along to see Sara’s work alongside all the other amazing artists at The Bird House, all of whom are making brand new work for this year.
See you in May!
Hello! Welcome to The Bird House Hove!
This is the very first time we’ve run an Open House from our home, so we’ve been very busy redecorating and tidying up!
We’ll have two rooms on our ground floor open as galleries, showing a selection of prints, badges, fabrics, postcards, greeting cards and other craft priced very reasonably, so come along and buy some of our art!
We’re on Leicester Villas, near the border of Hove and Portslade. We’re a very short walk from Portslade train station, and very close to the 1, 1A, 6, 49 & 49A bus routes that stop on New Church Road or Portland Rd. There’s a growing number of Open Houses out near us in West Hove/Portslade, so if you’re in the area, come and say hello!
